Medical Restrictions & Contraindications

Potentially Serious or Life-Threatening Interactions

Participation is not permitted for individuals who are currently taking, or have recently taken, any of the following:

  • Antidepressants, including SSRIs, MAOIs, and serotonin-enhancing medications (e.g., Seroquel)
  • Antihistamines, cold or sinus medications, allergy medications, or sleep aids
  • Medications for asthma, bronchitis, or other respiratory conditions
  • Antipsychotic medications
  • Semaglutide-based medications (Ozempic, Wegovy) or appetite suppressants
  • Central nervous system depressants
  • Opiates or synthetic opioids (e.g., morphine, Vicodin)
  • Amphetamines or stimulant medications (e.g., Ritalin, Adderall, Dexedrine)
  • Prescription medications for high blood pressure (must be disclosed in advance)
Additional restrictions:
  • Individuals currently taking antidepressant medications may not participate
  • Pregnant individuals may not participate
  • Do not schedule dental work or surgical procedures within one week before or after the retreat

Important: Antidepressants and semaglutide-based medications must be discontinued at least four (4) weeks prior to participation, only under medical supervision. Please notify us in advance. Do not take any medications or supplements (other than aspirin or ibuprofen) within 10 days of the retreat without prior approval.

Dietary Guidelines (Dieta)

Certain foods may interfere with the experience. Please adhere closely to the following dietary recommendations.

Foods to Avoid
  • Dairy products
  • Red meat (pork, beef, goat, eel, etc.)
  • Processed, canned, or preserved foods
  • Fermented or aged foods (e.g., soy sauce, kombucha, miso, tofu)
  • Refined sugars, sweets, chocolate, and commercial baked goods
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Spicy or excessively salty foods
  • Protein or yeast extracts and supplements
  • Coffee
  • Black, green, matcha, or kava teas
  • Alcohol in any form
Other Substances & Activities to Avoid
Preferred Foods
  • All recreational or street drugs, including marijuana
  • Violent media or highly stimulating content
  • Intense psycho-emotional or altered-state practices
  • Herbal supplements (St. John’s Wort, Kava, Ephedra, Kratom)
  • Sexual activity, including masturbation
  • Fresh, locally sourced, organic foods
  • Organic fruits and vegetables
  • Organic grilled chicken
  • Fresh wild-caught fish
  • Organic eggs
  • Oatmeal, quinoa, buckwheat, rice
  • Homemade or gluten-free bread
  • Raw, unsalted cashews or almonds
  • Low-sodium meals
  • Herbal teas
  • Adequate water for hydration

Please follow these dietary guidelines for at least one week prior to participation. Your final meal should be consumed 4–6 hours before the program begins. Continuing the diet for one week following the retreat is strongly recommended.

Mental & Emotional Preparation

Clarifying your intention in advance can significantly deepen your experience. Prior to arrival, take time for quiet reflection and consider the following:

• What changes are you seeking in your life?

• Are there unresolved concerns or patterns you wish to address?

• What clarity are you hoping to gain regarding yourself, your relationships, or your direction?

Understanding the motivation behind your intentions can further support meaningful insight. Long-standing habits, emotional accumulation, and life experiences often shape perception in subtle ways. Approaching the experience with openness and self-honesty can help create space for growth and integration.

Attendance, Transfers & Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend your scheduled retreat weekend due to a conflict, your contribution may be applied toward a future retreat date, subject to availability. Refunds are not provided under any circumstances.
